What is District 2? Info about U13+ gamesPrintable

What is District 2?
LWYSA is a member of WSYSA and resides within the boundaries of WSYSA District 2. All LWYSA U13-U19 recreational teams participate in a league managed by District 2. This league includes teams from other District 2 member associations. District 2 member associations are: Northshore Youth Soccer Association (NYSA), Lake Washington Youth Soccer Association (LWYSA), Eastside Youth Soccer Association (EYSA), and Snoqualmie Valley Youth Soccer Association (SnVYSA).
What is Different?
District 2, rather than LWYSA, manages the fall league by scheduling matches with LWYSA teams playing other association teams. Scores are reported to District 2 and team standings are on the District 2 web site at www.wsysad2.org.-> District 2 also handles disciplinary matters. Most games are played on Sunday. (Each year, District II determines which ages and genders can play on Saturday, based on field availability.)
  • Rosters
Prior to each match, coaches are required to provide the referee with a copy of their team roster. This must include the name of the team, coach, each player's full name, and their jersey number. This roster should NOT be the Team Data Sheet that has player's personal information included.
  • Red and Yellow Cards
Red and Yellow cards are taken seriously. They are carefully tracked. In the event a player or team official is either sent from the field or is shown a "red card", it is very important that they review the District II documentation related to Disciplinary actions. (Look under "Information", then clock on "Documents" and refer to the Disciplinary Procedures document.)
  • Referees
Each association is responsible for arranging referee coverage for their home games.
    • LWYSA assigns referees from the LWYSA pool of referees for U13/U14 home games.
    • LWYSA contracts with East King County Soccer Referee Association (EKCSRA) to assign referees to matches U15 and older. Subject to the availability of referees, we request that EKCSRA assign Assistant Referees to U17 and older matches.
